Plus Size Leather Jackets

Am i required to buy this jacket?

My boyfriend and i were looking in a leather goods shop. We liked a jacket in particular for $200. I didn’t know he’d seen the same one for $130 on their website and when i wasn’t in earshot, he asked the store clerk and he said that 130 was the manufacturer’s price.

They didn’t have my size, but they said they’d be getting an order in this week. They’d make sure they’d get a size for me. So we put a deposit on it of $25.

Then we bought a pair of used boots. Apparently used boots from there are open to negotiation. I asked if we got a discount because we were buying both. They said ok. and knocked off 50$ from the boots.

My question is this:
Do i have to take the jacket? I don’t want it because i think they’re ripping us off. If they advertise a price, don’t they have to follow through with that price?
I know they gave us a break on the boots, but they negotiate those. And they had a lot more leeway, since they were already taking us for the extra $70 (200-130)

then the total amount 451.88 (with tax).
They took off the amount my boyfriend paid ( for the boots plus $25 deposit for the jacket.)

what is your take? do i need to buy the jacket? This happened yesterday on a Sunday. I was going to call them this morning but they don’;t open til 1pm.

what do you recommend? I’m not that crazy about the jacket.

attending a formal wedding but… 10 points for best answer!?

this june, i am attending a formal wedding (my fiances co-worker). ive looked all over and can’t find a dress that fits my boobs (40DDD) or my body type. further more, i feel uncomfortable in a dress anyway so i decided to go with dressy slacks, silkie blouse, 6inch pumps and decided to dress up the outfit with accessories.

although the wedding is in june, it is going to be behind a big wide river and i believe it will be an afternoon wedding leading into the night. therefore, i will need something to wear over my blouse once night hits.
my problem is.. I CAN’T FIND A NICE JACKET OR BLAZER THAT WILL FIT ME BECAUSE OF THESE DAMN BOOBS! i even tried plus size stores and i found NOTHING! i went into one store and picked up a knitted lookin sweater kinda thing (has no buttons so its supposed to look like a wrap except it has sleeves) and decided that if i cant find a blazer, i will go with this as a last resort. here are pictures of the cover up, ring, shoes and blouse i will be wearing.

this is the blouse. its silk and flowy. fits my body type nicely! (surprisingly)

this is the ring i picked out.. i love it. actually looks really nice with the outfit. it stands out nicely.

these are the 6inch pumps. they KILL my feet! but i gotta do what i gotta do i guess. lol i picked a patten leather pair so that they look a little fancier as a plain pair just looks.. regular.

now this is the cover up. the picture is rather dark so you may not be able to see it much but its kinda a knitted material. feels like a sweater. i actually found it hanging above dressy slacks which is what gave me the idea that it may be fine to wear.

ok.. what are your opinions? should i even bother searching for a blazer? will this do fine? also, should i do dangly earrings? or studs?
and should i do plastic black bangle or regular bracelet?

the wedding is outside but there is pavement so that wont be a problem.

as far as the wrap goes, i think that’s more for dresses rather than a pair of slacks.

i actually just tried on the sweater thingy just now and it fits really nice and i feel i may go with it. it stops right at my elbow and it doesnt cover the front at all but it does cover my whole back and goes down to my butt.

i barely know the groom and bride so i dont find it disrespectful that i wear slacks to their wedding. i think they would prefer me to go to their wedding looking very well put together rather than a hot mess in a dress. lol

>princess cherbs, one) i wasnt being rude back.. i simply replied to your comment. two) it is a 6inch heel because i measured it myself and you yourself said it doesnt look like a 6inch heel so why wouldnt it be “appropriate attire” for a formal wedding? three) i am wearing slacks therefore the heel will be covered..

>princess cherbs, i wont be dancing period. im a guest and have no relationship or friendship with the bride. im just going because my fiance is going and its tasteless if i didnt show up as his guest. as far as shoes go, the fact that they’re 6inch heels have nothing to do with it. now if it had a crazy platform, then i’d say it was more of a bar shoe but its a pump with no platform.. just a high heel which to me looks formal.

Help with friend.. She thinks im copying her?

So i don’t talk constantly about the clothes i want to buy with my friends. I ended up going to the mall with one of my best friends last week and she was trying on leather jackets. She had really wanted one but i didnt try any on because i didnt really like the style of the ones i saw. and there were no size smalls. Plus they were out of my price range. Anyways, i have always wanted one but never really made a huge deal about wanting one to other people. I found one i liked a couple days ago with another friend and she told me i should buy it because it looked good. So i did… And i told my other friend that i had bought one and now she is mad at me for copying her, because she said i wouldnt have bought one if she didn’t show an interest in them the week before. Now she says she can’t buy one because i have one. When there are MANY different styles of leather jackets. What am i supposed to do?

What kind of cover up or maybe jacket should I wear with my new red satin cocktail dress?

I will be wearing nude hose and black pat. leather baby jane heels. It is a evening dinner event that I one point I may have to leave the cover-up on for alittle while so it needs to be tastful. I am a small plus size and a young 50 yr old. Any help would be grateful.
I live in Virginia Beach and it will be around 45 degrees.

most plus size web sites only sell the jackets. I want the whole Pant suit. Or if you can ask a store that you have bought from if they have a web site and give it to me that would be great. I stay in south carolina and am really trying not to have to travel anywhere. i posted it hear because the fashion section did not have any good feedback. and i am a single person trying to look as good as Queen Latifah and comedian Monique. keep your jokes to yourself. I know these sizes exist in leather outfits, i just dont know from where.
